Opened in 1996, the Filipino American Center
of the San Francisco
Public Library
provides an extensive collection that highlights the
Filipino-American experience and
 features materials related to
Philippine history, culture and politics. 
The Center sponsors engaging and
informative programs, events and
exhibitions for the public.




The Asian Art Museum of
San Francisco is one of the largest
museums in the Western world devoted exclusively to Asian Art, with a
collection of over 17,000 artworks
spanning 6,000 years of history.
The museum is a public institution
whose mission is to lead za diverse
global audience in discovering the unique material, aesthetic, and intellectual achievements of Asian art and culture.




The Literacy Initiatives
International Foundation

is a San Francisco Bay Area-based
nonprofit committed to promoting
cultural literacy in ethnic
communities, particularly the
Filipino-American community. LIIF is under the fiscal sponsorship of the Philippine American Writers and Artists, Inc. (PAWA).

Consulate General

is
the Philippines' representative
foreign service post covering
Northern California and
nine other states. Its mission and vision
is to strengthen linkages between the
home country, the Filipino-American
community, the American mainstream
society, and its other neighbors
and friends in this part of the world.

FilBookFest is a manifest example of the numerous public diplomacy endeavors
of the Philippine Consulate General.




The Philippine Department of Tourism (DOT) shall be the primary government agency charged with the responsibility to encourage, promote,
 and develop tourism as a major
socio-economic activity to generate
foreign currency and employment
and to spread the benefits of tourism
to both the private and public sector.
